PPC Classroom 2 Lesson 2- Things to do, before you even Consider Advertising

In this Lesson we ll talk about things that we should be doing before we jump into PPC Advertising. The aim of PPC is to generate more revenue for youe website. When you are advertising on PPC, you should have in mind about what you want your visitor to do, it could be
a. Purchase of a product.
b. subscription to your optin form.
This is what we call as conversion. The visitors who did the above things are visitors converted to Buyers or Subscribers.
Once you have decided about the coversion, then there are few things which are very important that you should check before you start advertising. We ll go through these one by one.
1. Make your Website Ready for Advertising:
Your website should be ready before you spend even a penny on the PPC Advertising. Your website should look professional which should generate trust in the minds of visitor. They should feel comfortable about buying from you or in giving away their email address to you. You may be the most moral and ethical person on the surface of earth but your visitors still don’t know that. So there are few things that you can do to generate that Trust
Design of your landing page/Website should be professional
Make link to your Privacy Policy prominent and write a proper Privacy Policy
In your About you page, write professionaly about you, People read it.
Generate Trust by Security certificates like Trust Seal etc
2. Be a Friend for your visitor
When somebody visits your website, they are looking for something. Be a friend to them and provide them what they want staright away and they ll be kind to you too. For example you run a website on selling mobile phones and somebody searches for Apple iPhone and reaches your website. Don’t let your visitors reach the homepage of your website and then search for iPhone again as it will be too much effort for them and a lot of your visitors may not be happy about it and leave your website without making a purchase.
Where as if you create a page specific for Apple iPhone ( landing page) and your visitor reaches youe landing page direcly once they search for Apple iPhone and click on your ad, they will be more satisfied with your website as this was what they were looking for and will be thankful to you for proving that information.
So the likelyhood of purchasing the iPhone from your website is much more.
3. Action on the Landing Page
What if the vistor reaches the above landing page but couldn’t find a button for buying it. Place your Buy Now button or the Optin Form prominently on the landing page. This is an obvious thing but so easily missed.
